Hertz.com - There’s an App for That

As the iPhone and Blackberry phones become even more popular, Hertz introduces two improved ways for customers to find a Hertz car online. Capability for storing more customer information directly on the phone as well as a touch screen for the iPhone and a point/click feature for the BlackBerry sets these phones apart and makes for a more convenient customer experience.
The new Hertz.com applications for these phones enable customers who are Hertz Club members to save their names to the Blackberry and their member number to both phones. When members log into Hertz.com from their phones, they will no longer have to locate and manually enter their member number; that information will instead be automatically populated on the correct screen.
Another brandnew feature, available exclusively for club members, is the option to pick a special deal, also called a coupon, which is only available through the new phone applications. For frequent renters, there is now an option for saving several Favorite locations to the phone, which eliminates the need to look up the rental location each time a reservation is made. Hertz.com’s BlackBerry application is also able to display a specific rental location on a map, and the iPhone expands that feature to show all the Hertz locations within a specified radius, the location’s street address, phone number and hours of operation.
