Kos

Kos has been the favorite destination of the northern Europeans for more than three decades. This is the birthplace of Nymph Europi, which gave its name to the entire continent, and the father of medicine, Hippocrates. It was many beautiful beaches, ideal for surfers and sailing aficionados, one of the most well preserved castles in Greece and a vibrant nightlife. Kos has more than someone would expect from a holiday destination!

Hertz, the biggest car rental agency in Greece, operates 2 offices in Kos; one in the city and one at the airport. Many of the island’s visitors are not familiar with its history and tradition, however everybody knows that it has nice, long sandy beaches with exceptional infrastructure like the ones in Tigkaki, Mastihari, Marmari, Paradise and Kardamaina.
Kos is an island with rich history and many attractions. The most important one is definitely the Asclepieio, which is a place of rest and healing since the 4th century BC. This is where the Hippocrates Medical School was located and this is where Hippocrates’ Oath was heard for the first time. This Oath has been taken by every doctor across the world ever since.
