HERTZ UK appoints #1 Club Gold Manager

Hertz UK Ltd has appointed Kelly Banford as Hertz #1 Club Gold Manager, effective as of 01 October 2001.

Reporting directly to Hertz UK"s Head of Marketing, Jean Burke, Kelly is now responsible for the development and growth of the #1 Club Gold programme, and the on going implementation of the new tier system within the UK.

The Hertz #1 Club Gold service was first introduced in the US in 1989, and in 1992 the service was expanded to Europe.

Hertz was the first car rental company to offer customers a premier, expedited rental service with pre-assigned vehicles. With Hertz #1 Club Gold, members sign a master rental agreement, which means they can simply arrive at Hertz locations, and their car is ready to go. Prior to joining Hertz Kelly was employed within the medical industry, as Marketing Manager for an orthopaedic product manufacturer.

Kelly has a degree in Business Management and is an Associate Member of the CIM.
