HERTZ UK signs up new E-commerce partners

Hertz, the world΅¦s largest car rental company, has announced the signing of several new partnership agreements with online companies, increasing their web presence to business travellers. The focus of these new arrangements has been on trusted brands such as Business Traveller.

This site, pioneered by Business Traveller magazine, provides up to the minute information and travel offers for business travellers. The site features a dedicated car rental news page, which carries the latest news from Hertz plus a link to a dedicated microsite from where business travellers can make on-line bookings with the car rental giant and enrol into the Hertz #1 Club Gold ΅V its expedited car rental service.

Other products and services offered to the business traveller renting with Hertz include Hertz #1 Club Gold and Instant Return:

#1 Club Gold
Launched in Europe in 1992, Hertz #1 Club Gold is a premium, time-saving rental service which has been designed to give customers both the level of service they expect and the convenience they demand. Now available at over 1,000 locations worldwide, the entire car rental process for frequent travellers is speeded up by removing the need to complete and sign a new rental agreement every time they rent a vehicle. There are three levels to the service: #1 Club Gold, #1 Club Gold Five Star and #1 Club Gold President΅¦s Circle. The different service levels provide customers with greater incentives when they rent more frequently.

To enrol, customers simply complete a master enrolment agreement, providing all the information needed for future rentals. Once enrolled, members receive a unique #1 Club membership number. When a booking is made, the only information required is the #1 Club membership number along with when and where a car is desired. On arrival at the Hertz location, the customer simply goes direct to the dedicated Gold counter, presents their drivers licence, picks up the keys together with their pre-completed rental agreement and goes direct to their pre-assigned rental car parked in the special #1 Club Gold parking bays.

At Hertz" European flagship London Heathrow location, and at 44 major airports in the USA, customers can avoid the rental counter altogether and go by Hertz shuttle bus from the airport terminal straight to a #1 Club Gold weather-protected canopy. There they will find their name in lights on an electronic nameboard directing them to their pre-assigned car. The vehicles are backed into spaces underneath the canopy, with the boot open for luggage, the pre-printed rental agreement hanging from the rear-view mirror and keys in the ignition. As they leave the car park, customers simply show their driver"s licence and the rental agreement and they are quickly on their way.

Instant Return
Ease, speed and efficiency are not restricted to car pick ups. At the end of the rental period the customer can also drop off their car in the quickest possible time with the Hertz Instant Return service, which provides an itemised printed receipt beside the car in less than sixty seconds!
