Why should I get an electric car by leasing and not by purchase?
Through “Kinoumai Ilektrika II” both individuals and companies may benefit from the flexibility a lease car offers (such as zero maintenance and repair costs, insurance and road taxes included in the monthly rate, etc.) and at the same time benefit from the subsidies of the program, such as:
For Individuals
- A 30% subsidy on the vehicle’s retail price before taxes, with a maximum amount of €8,000 for a long-term lease of a purely electric car,
- An additional subsidy of €1,000 for families with at least 3 children,
- An additional subsidy of €1,000 for person up to 29 years of age, for the purchase of a car and minicar,
- An additional withdrawal reward of €1,000,
- A subsidy of €500 for the purchase of a "smart" charger.
For companies
- For a car fleet of up to 20 vehicles
- A 30% subsidy on the vehicle’s retail price before taxes with a maximum of €8,000 for long-term leases,
- For a car fleet of 21 vehicles or more
- A 20% subsidy on the vehicle’s retail price before taxes with a maximum of 6,000€.
- An additional subsidy of €4,000 per vehicle, for companies operating on islands.
- A withdrawal bonus of €1,000 per vehicle
- A subsidy for the purchase of a "smart" charger of €400 per recharging point
Companies are not obliged to buy the cars at the end of the leasing period to benefit from the subsidies

After you have found the car of your choice, you can apply for “KINOUME ILEKTRIKA II” at the gov.gr platform by following the procedure and submit necessary documents, as described below.
I have found the car which I am interested in, but what is the subsidy process?
The person concerned can apply online at gov.gr. To receive the amount of the subsidy, you must attach the lease contract, proof of advance payment registered for ordering the cars, together with the other documents provided for.
It is recommended that the advance payment registered in the lease agreement is at least equal to the subsidy amount. In this way, the lessee can immediately receive the entire amount of the subsidy, while the amount of the monthly rate is reduced.
